The 2026-27 program will be focused on the Theology of the Body, using Fr. Mike Schmitz’ YouTube videos. There will be Adoration and Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament on this First Friday, November 6, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, concluding with Benediction. Jesus promised to remain with us always, and He is here for us in the Blessed Sacrament. Let us give ourselves wholeheartedly in this exchange of love.

About Advent & Christmas
Advent marks the beginning of the Church’s liturgical year. During these four weeks, we prepare our hearts and homes to celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas while looking forward with hope to His coming again.
In 2026, Advent begins on Sunday, November 29.
As we prepare for Christmas, Advent invites us to slow down, make room for Christ, and remember the promised King who came to us in an unexpected way.
Celebrate the Season
Continue the journey at home by gathering each Sunday of Advent to light the candles of your Advent wreath, pray together, and reflect on the hope, peace, joy, and love we receive in Christ. About our facilitator:
Anne Lucchetti Geary, Ph.D., is an executive consultant for The Leath Group. She is also a CTK parishioner and a Stephen Ministry Leader. Her 30 years of experience in university teaching, consulting, and training seminars covers such topics as Conflict Resolution, Group & Team Dynamics, Leadership, Interviewing, and Interpersonal Communication skills. Anne received her doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin and her master’s degree from Purdue University. Her passion for helping others manage their relationship communication has led to the development of her conflict coaching program. Currently, Anne is most heavily involved in implementing marital enrichment program that is based on research and focuses on the key factors in increasing intimacy and improving marital stability.

Join Christ the King for an All Souls' Requiem Mass on November 2nd at 7:00 PM in the Church for all the faithful departed.
As part of the Dottie Thompson Concert Series, the Mass will include the Fauré Requiem sung by the Christ the King Singers, accompanied by an orchestra. Please join us in prayer as we begin the month of November and commend our beloved dead to the mercy of God.
Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Many of our adults thirst for knowledge of the faith. Knowing this, we have been offering Theology 101 on Sunday evenings at the parish during the school year. These sessions run concurrently with our Grades 1-6 Faith Formation. They’re open to all adults, whether you haven’t received any sort of formation since you were a child yourself or if you’re a theology junkie!

Join the Kingsmen for their chili cook-off on Saturday, October 24th, from 3:00-5:00 PM on the Mike Higgs Field at CKS (next to the Community Center). This family workshop invites families to learn about the Feast of Christ the King, pray together, and participate in a hands-on activity that connects the liturgical year to life at home.

About the Feast
The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, also known as the Feast of Christ the King, is celebrated on the final Sunday of the liturgical year, just before Advent begins.
In 2026, the feast will be celebrated on Sunday, November 22.
This workshop on October 17 gives families an opportunity to begin preparing their hearts and homes for this celebration.

After our workshop, continue the celebration at home as you prepare for the Feast of Christ the King on November 22. Families are encouraged to participate in Mass together and celebrate this special day in the life of the Church.

The St. Francis Pet Blessing will take place on Sunday, October 4th, from 3:00-4:00 PM on the south side lawn of the church, on the Colgate Ave. side. All pets are welcome to receive a blessing in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. Families are encouraged to bring their beloved pets—large or small—for this special tradition of gratitude and care for God’s creatures!

That Man Is You! is a Catholic men's leadership program that combines scripture, church teaching, and secular research to address the pressures facing men in our modern culture. This is a group that seeks to transform their homes and society one man at a time.
Meetings are on Tuesdays from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. in the Parish Center.

Walking With Purpose's Mission is to enable women to know Christ personally through Scripture. All women of Christ the King are welcome to join for the 2026-27 season starting in September. In remembrance of the lives lost in the September 11, 2001 attacks, Christ the King will offer Eucharistic Adoration as a time of prayer, reflection, and remembrance. Please join us this Friday, September 11, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the church as we come before the Blessed Sacrament to pray for those who lost their lives, their families and loved ones, and all those affected by the events of that day.
