Prepare Your Family

Discover the prophecies of the coming King, the Wise Men who searched for Him, and the unexpected way Jesus came into the world: as a little child. Through prayer and a hands-on activity, families will prepare to welcome Jesus into their hearts and homes.

Why This Workshop?

Our Domestic Church Family Workshops help families live the Catholic faith at home and grow together through the seasons of the Church year. Each workshop brings together learning, prayer, and hands-on activities to help families celebrate their faith in everyday life.

About Advent & Christmas

Advent marks the beginning of the Church’s liturgical year. During these four weeks, we prepare our hearts and homes to celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas while looking forward with hope to His coming again.

In 2026, Advent begins on Sunday, November 29.

As we prepare for Christmas, Advent invites us to slow down, make room for Christ, and remember the promised King who came to us in an unexpected way.

Celebrate the Season

Continue the journey at home by gathering each Sunday of Advent to light the candles of your Advent wreath, pray together, and reflect on the hope, peace, joy, and love we receive in Christ. Create simple family traditions that keep Jesus at the center of the season as you prepare to celebrate His birth.

Learn • Pray • Create • Celebrate

This workshop is especially designed for families with Littles and elementary-age children, but all families are welcome!
