Music at Christ the King

Choir

Christ the King Singers maintain an extensive choral repertoire from all periods of music in a variety of styles and genre from 4 to 12 part harmony. They offer music at the Sunday 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Masses, occasional 12:30 Masses, and Feast Days, September through May. This auditioned choir is comprised of vocal professionals and graduate student voice majors from UNT, SMU, and TCU.

CHORISTERS

The King’s Choristers program was created as a collaboration between Christ the King Church & School in September of 2018, following the tradition of The King’s Choristers Choir of Men & Boys that was founded here at Christ the King in 1956 and active until 1962. The Choristers, grades 4 through 8, sing classical music at various Masses for both church and school, sometimes joined by adult singers.

HANDBELLS

The King’s Ringers have been playing handbells together for over 15 years. They offer their music monthly at 11:00 a.m. Sunday Masses. Weekly rehearsals are on Wednesday afternoons, 2:15-3:00. Reading music is a plus, but not a strict requirement. Contact our music director if you are interested in ringing: Jpeek@ctkdallas.org.
